Designer on the Rise: Omondi

Recho Omondi doesn’t play by the fashion industry rules. Starting her collection in 2013, she’s made it a point to only cast WOC runway models and refuses to abide by fashion seasons by going off on her own. And because of her daring ways people are taking notice. Born to Kenyan parents in Oaklahoma, Omondi moved to NYC in 2010 after graduate school. In the city she did freelance work for The Gap, Calvin Klein and had a full-time gig at Theory.

Omondi revealed a few pieces from her Season 3 collection on her Instagram, and you’re gonna want to have your wallet ready. Until then, drool over her past collections that are perfect to wear year round.
