Designer on the Rise: Gozel Green

Gozel Green is yet another sister team that prove that family really knows best. The Nigerian twins Sylvia Anekwe and Olivia Okoji created the line in 2010, and just a few years later, showcased their Autumn/Winter Collection at NYFW earlier this year. Their showcase was inspired by their cultural heritage and the Igbo masks.

"Every detail of each piece symbolizes our colourful culture! We can’t wait to show the world this collection and bring to life the beauty of Igbo rituals” they told Bellanaija. Their brand focuses on three main elements: timelessness, artistry and originality to produce their one-of-a-kind clothing. It not only refreshing to see such diversity on the runways, but to see them in their authentic light is just as important. Gozel Green prove that diversity and success can indeed be put in the same sentence.
